Why does this neurological tool elicit such a strong sensory response? A Wartenberg wheel is systematically rolled with light pressure across the shoulder, lateral torso, and hip. This technique is used to map dermatomes and assess cutaneous sensory nerve function. The resulting squirming is a key indicator of nerve hypersensitivity. Send this to a colleague to discuss sensory assessment techniques. 🧠
